Through a sustained reflection on the church's tradition of lex orandi, lex credendi, students
will be introduced to the theory and practice of good liturgical
celebration. Contemporary liturgical practice will be evaluated in its
historical, cultural, and theological context. Students will learn how
the historical development of Christian liturgy, its anthropological
dimensions, and important church documents influence how we worship
today.
